CAFE workers in the new Market Parade say they are having to give refunds to diners because the market hall is too cold to sit and eat in.
Some say they have even had customers ask if they can warm up their food because it has gone cold.
Sharon Mills, owner of Hilton’s Cafe, fears her cafe could close as customers shun the market cafes for somewhere warmer.
Sharon, 50, said: “Customers are bringing their food back and wanting their money back. As soon as they sit down, their food is cold. We’ve all lost so many customers. “They’re only going to put up with it for so long. We need something doing before we all shut down.
“There is supposed to be a certain temperature that you are meant to work in.”
