LOCKE Park will explode with colour next month as the Rainbow Dash returns.
The ‘rainbow warriors’ will be on hand once again to pelt runners from head to toe with brightly coloured powder paint as they tackle the course.
It will culminate in a colour party at the finish line.
The run is the fourth event if its kind to be hosted by Barnsley Hospital Charity, and will be held on June 25.
Chloe Wake, who works at the hospital, said: “The Rainbow Dash was great fun last year, it was such a fun atmosphere, and all of my family loved it. We can’t wait for this year; we have already got our tickets.”
Runners can choose the 5k challenge or do one lap of the park which is 1.6k. Registration includes a fundraising pack and runner number, water on the day, a goodie bag and medal for all runners.
Hospital chairman Stephen Wragg said the Rainbow Dash was a great way to support Barnsley Hospital Charity.
“Donations made to Barnsley Hospital Charity make a very real difference to thousands of patient’s lives every year. Taking part in Rainbow Dash is a fantastic way to support the charity and is guaranteed to be a day to remember.”
Places are limited. To secure an early bird discount, participants need to register before May 15.
