IT’S not every day you hear of someone who started a new job at the age of 74,
But that’s exactly what Richard Booker did.
And what makes his appointment even more unusual is the fact that he travelled 12,000 miles to take up the new position... in New Zealand.
Richard, or to give him his official title, Deacon Richard, together with his wife Margaret left their home in Ardsley Road, Worsbrough Dale, to live in Blenheim in the Wellington district on New Zealand’s South Island almost four years ago.
