NINE Barnsley College buildings fitted with external cladding have been checked to confirm none features the flammable sort used in the refurbishment of Grenfell Tower.
Principal Chris Webb said he immediately began asking questions about cladding at college buildings following the fire, which left at least 80 people dead or missing feared dead.
He said investigations had confirmed none of the college’s buildings features any of the aluminium composite panels with cores made of the flammable plastic polyethylene, which were used at Grenfell Tower.
