A YOUNG woman who suffered horrific leg injuries in Thailand returned home to Barnsley yesterday.

Jenni Evans, 22, was injured in a motorbike crash in Thailand on May 12 and it was feared she may lose her leg.

Her family appealed for help to raise money to fly her back to the UK after problems with her travel insurance meant she was unable to get home.

The insurance company eventually did a U-turn and said Jenni would be flown home when medically fit.

After weeks in hospital, she was flown back to Sheffield Northern General and has been recuperating in Whitley Bay with her mother, Andrea, before returning to Barnsley last night.
