KIDS couldn’t believe their eyes when the secret Santa appeared unannounced in Wombwell this week.
Cole Brothers Cafe was full on Tuesday lunch time when the jolly fat man burst through the door cheering ‘Merry Christmas’.
He made his way to every table giving everyone chocolates and wishing Merry Christmas.
One lad was transfixed for the duration of Santa’s visit and could not eat his lunch. When Santa left he asked ‘is Santa coming back?’ He was told ‘not till Christmas Eve’.
Cafe owner Andy Cole was as surprised as his customers. He said he had no idea Santa would be paying him a visit.
A calling card was left on the counter, which read: “Congratulations you have just been tagged by Wombwell’s very own Secret Santa. Merry Christmas.”
