PROFESSIONAL boxing champ Josh Wale says his life is full of variety with two other jobs as a window cleaner and a youth worker.
The 19-year-old, of Melton Street, Brampton, won the super-bantam weight central area title at Sheffield’s Don Valley Stadium against Mo Khaled earlier this month. He has won five fights out of five since turning professional.
But he also still runs Great Houghton Youth Club on Thursdays, supervising activities such as table tennis and computer games. The kids held a victory party for him after his recent win. He said: ”I enjoy working with them. They’re great kids and they were over the moon for me when I won.”
Josh has big ambitions for the future, but he is clear about his short term goals too. He said: “I hope to retain this belt I’ve got now when I defend it on February 10. But when I’m 21, I want a British title. I’ve promised my mum and dad since I was little that I’d give them a British title belt to put on their mantle piece.
“Then like anybody, I want a world title too. I want to succeed in boxing. Plenty of people have told me I’m good enough so I’m not going to let it slide."
