A LISTED building at the heart of the town centre is to be converted into two apartments.
An application for change of use of the ground floor office space at 9 Regent Street has been approved by Barnsley Council.
The property is a grade II listed building and is part of the town centre conservation area. It was originally council offices dating from about 1880.
Documents submitted with the plans say: “The proposal seeks to achieve a high standard of residential accommodation which will enhance the listed building rather than detract from it.”
