A PENSIONER has been driven out of her Thurnscoe home - by mice.

Helen Brack has had problems with vermin ever since she moved into the council bungalow last March but it has got so bad she has been sleeping on the settee at her daughters for the last fortnight.

Mrs Brack, in her 70s, says she is frightened to death of them and is too scared to stay in her own home and has put her name down to be moved.

Problems began in Mrs Brack's first week at the Houghton Road bungalow when she caught three.

She called out pest control and the problem went away for a couple of months but they came back and Mrs Brack says they have never gone away.

Pest control have come back out twice but the mice are staying put.
