OBJECTORS to the Aldi warehouse and distribution centre planned for Goldthorpe will have to wait until next month to find out if their protests have been upheld.
The supermarket firm's application was due to be put to the planning board last week.
But because of delays in deciding on the design of the building, earmarked for Commercial Road, the application has been put back to the next meeting in early March.
Leeds -based company DPP, acting on behalf of Aldi, said the late discussions were nothing to do with the level of concerns and complaints by residents.
Michelle Bath, a spokesperson for DPP, said they were unable to meet planning officers in enough time to finalise the finer details in time for February's meeting.
She added: "It was due to go before the board in early February but we are just looking at the finer detail of it now and are having some talks on the design.
"There have been objections but that is not why we are looking at the detail. We are looking in terms of how it sits on the site and the landscaping scheme.
"That is something we do with any scheme regardless of objections or not."
