A TEACHER has appeared before Barnsley magistrates charged with indecency offences allegedly committed against a 15-year-old female pupil.
Penistone Grammar School's head of history Scott Reeves, 29, is charged with three counts of intentionally touching an underage girl, one of engaging in a non-penetrative sexual act with an underage girl and three of possessing an indecent photograph.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between January 15 and March 7. Reeves, of Brier Street, Sheffield has yet to enter a plea.
He was granted conditional bail and will appear before magistrates again on October 31 when the case will be committed to Sheffield Crown Court.
The Chronicle understands he was suspended from school in March.
