DETECTIVES have launched a fresh appeal for information to help them solve a murder that happened seven years ago.
Brian Metcalfe's body was found under a bridge in a car park off Station Road, Wath, on October 14, 2001. He had been beaten to death.
Officers believe residents in Wath hold vital information to help them find the killer. Det Supt Carl Sturgess said: "Mr Metcalfe was a creature of habit and a well-known character locally. We believe the answer to this crime lies within the Wath community and we urge anyone with information to contact us."
