BEAUTIFUL gardens around Keresforth Primary have earned the school a second consecutive Yorkshire in Bloom 'Gold' award.
The school received the only gold award in Barnsley this year across all the different categories of Yorkshire in Bloom.
Headteacher Kathy Mitchell said: "It was really nice to have two consecutive golds, and to be described as a near perfect school, well, I really do think we've achieved a lot."
The pupils, who all help maintain the gardens, have been presented with their cup at the town hall by Mayor of Barnsley, Coun Ken Sanderson.
