FOOTBALL fan Les Hobson has achieved his life-long ambition to acquire the autographs of every England player who triumphed over West Germany in the 1966 World Cup Final.

It has taken him many years, travelling hundreds of miles and, literally, being on the ball to collect every signature.

The autographs are on "World Cup Willy" picture cards, named after the team's mascot.

His latest autograph, and probably his most cherished, is that of Bobby Moore, England's captain. "I came across this one quite by chance. I had to travel to Rugby to pick it up, but it completed my set and I was delighted."

Les has had the autographs framed into one large picture. They are of: Gordon Banks (goalkeeper), George Cohen, Ray Wilson, Nobby Stiles, Jack Charlton, Bobby Moore, Allan Ball, Roger Hunt, Bobby Charlton, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters.
