CRUEL thieves have been caught on CCTV stealing one-week-old chicks from St Luke's vicarage in Grimethorpe.
The chickens are kept by parish priest Fr Peter Needham, who also has hens and cockerels, in an adapted hutch in the garden.
They were taken on Saturday afternoon by two young men while Fr Peter was at a wedding reception.
Fr Peter said: "I'm so angry about it. It's a blatant act of cruelty because those chicks will probably die, they need to be kept warm with their mother."
