A BRASS band will have to drum up some new members if it is to push for promotion.
Strata Brass Band is losing four key players and needs new recruits to join their title-winning team.
Secretary Paul Wilkinson said they needed players who were at a similar level to the second section band.
"We have had five stable years but a couple of the younger players are disappearing off to university, an older member has retired and another is leaving the country.
"We need a solo euphonium, solo cornet and a bass player to get back to full strength."
The band is hoping to defend its entertainment titles at Wychavon and Bolsover later in the year and will also be taking part in the 25th anniversary of the miners' strike celebrations in Durham in July.
