WHILE press speculation is intense that Barnsley actress Grace Kelly is to join her sister on Coronation Street, Barnsley audiences can see her first.
For Grace, younger sister of Katherine Kelly who plays the street's free-spirit Becky Grainger, is to appear as Eve in this summer's production of 'The English Mystery Plays' at Monk Bretton Priory.
Grace said: "The plays will probably be the biggest outdoor theatrical event in Britain this year and I'm proud that they are to be performed here in my home town.
"I may, or may not, be joining Katherine as Becky's long lost sister on Coronation Street but, whatever happens, playing Eve comes first."
Grace is pictured at the priory with another Lamproom Theatre favourite, Sam Whewall, who is to play Adam. He says he can't wait to meet Phoenix Nights star, Toby Foster.
The plays are to run from Monday June 29 to Saturday July 11. Tickets are available from the Lamproom Theatre box office.
