A BRAVE crow has become Gateway Plaza's first resident having built a nest right at the end of one of the giant cranes.
Crane driver Gerald Tuite, who has 25 years' experience, said: "I've never seen that before - not right on the end of the jib.
"There's been some acrobatics to build that there. You can see them struggling to land on it as the crane spins round and round all day."
Gerald said the eggs are just about ready to hatch, and he hopes the youngsters will be ready to fly the nest before the crane has to be taken down - the project is nearly finished.
