A KEXBOROUGH artist is preparing to display her work as part of an exhibition at Wentworth Castle this weekend.
Jane Lazenby, 40, of Cawthorne Lane, is no stranger to an art show and has her work in private collections around the world, including America, New Zealand and Austria.
She will join others from the Pennine Artists' Group as they prepare to put new works on show inspired by the gardens at the castle.
Jane is a fully qualified art teacher who specialises in animal portraiture but also enjoys all forms of portrait and landscape work.
Her work will join the exhibition to complement the annual Rhododendron Week when the gardens are in full bloom which attracts visitors from all over the country.
The exhibition will be on show in the chapel at the castle from Saturday, May 23 to Tuesday, May 26 from 10am to 5pm.
Caroline Bell, spokesperson for the art show, said visitors should go along and 'enjoy the delightful interpretations' made by the professional artists who make up the Pennine Artists' Group.
She added: "There will be the wonderful light effects of coloured glass, skilfully formed textures and patterns of ceramics, the subtle nuance of felt and textile arts, charming automata and vibrantly decorated wood carvings, and of course paintings that capture the picturesque spectacle."
