A 1930s semi-detached house has been converted into one of the most energy efficient council houses in the country.
The Wilthorpe Crescent Home has solar panels, high-tech ventilation and high-efficiency insulation throughout.
About £30,000 has been spent on 24 energy-efficient modifications, most of which were paid for by Inspace, the contractor which performs maintenance for Berneslai Homes. The firm will use it an an example to other housing bodies around the country.
