Joseph Treanor has been awarded a black belt in Judo and he's only ten.
The Holy Rood pupil has spent four years learning the martial art.
Headteacher John Gregson said he was very proud of the year six pupil's achievement.
"It has taken Joseph over four years of hard work and dedication to get to this level," he said.
"We asked him to bring his black belt and judo outfit into school assembly because it's such an achievement."
