A MAN who was shot in the head on Smith Street, Wombwell, has been allowed home from hospital.
Alan Bell, 41, was shot in an alleyway behind his home on Marsh Street on November 22.
His wife and eldest son found him conscious but slumped over a car bonnet.
Nathan Brittle, 22, of Herringthorpe, Rotherham, who denied unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court on Tuesday.
He was remanded in custody and will next appear in court on Monday January 18.
