AN INQUIRY into the safety of mobility scooters will be held after a two-year-old Shafton girl was knocked over by one last May.
No action could be taken against the driver because she had not meant to injure the girl - Madison McNair, of Plumpton Park - and because mobility scooters do not come under the Road Traffic Act.
The inquiry, to be conducted by the Transport Select Committee, will be held in the coming months.
