GOALKEEPER Samuel Jones scored a beauty of a goal last weekend - from a goal kick. Samuel, of Ratten Row, Dodworth, plays for Dodworth Miners' Welfare under eights but also trains with Rotherham United. He is already attracting attention from club scouts including Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United, and the club Samuel supports - Manchester United. Dad Ivor said: "Manchester United said they were very impressed, but they're more interested in them a little bit older so they'd have another look at him when he's nine. "He's a talented keeper but someone only told me I should ring the Chronicle when he scored a goal because everyone's been saying they can't remember it happening in junior football." Although a Man United fan, Samuel also regularly watches Barnsley.
