A MENTAL health sufferer was hit by a bus as she wandered on to the motorway.
The woman, 33, left her Higham home just before 7am on Saturday. She had been making threats she would harm herself.
Her worried family contacted police who started searching for her but could without success.
About 20 minutes later she was spotted on the M1 by passers-by who called the police.
She was struck by the bus on the southbound carriageway near Darton and received minor injuries. She was taken to Barnsley hospital.
