BARNSLEY assistant manager Rick Holden is delighted with Barnsley’s start to the season and hopes the Reds can sustain their good form at Norwich tomorrow. Holden believes Andy Ritchie’s side will be in for a tough test at Carrow Road but says they will be travelling to Norfolk determined to give the Canaries a run for their money. “We are not going to fear them that’s for sure. In fact, we don’t fear anybody. “What we are wanting is for teams to fear us. We want teams to think ‘oh no, Barnsley’s coming to town. “We are looking at three points on Saturday, we are not going to be going there hoping to hold on. That’s when you get beat when you adopt negative attitudes. “Norwich will be wanting us to fear them and their ’keeper for example will be wanting an easy day but we are not going to give him one. We will be putting balls in the box, shooting from distance and giving him plenty of work to do. “What we want is for teams to come off the park knowing they have been given a game. If we lose, teams will have to work hard to get the points that’s for sure.” Holden believes the performances have so far been highly encouraging but there is still more work to be done. “We need to defend a bit better and the passing needs to be quicker and more crisp. We have been working on spreading the ball wide quicker so that we pull the opposition about. “These players have so much potential, there is no reason why they can’t play in the Premiership.
