A GAS fitter on trial for manslaughter ‘cut corners’ when fitting a boiler at a house where a man died of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Sheffield Crown Court heard that six other properties where James Charlton, 31, had fitted boilers which were also dangerous.

Mark Ellis, 41, and his pet cat were found dead in his house at Hawthorne Crescent in Dodworth.
