Hundreds turned out for the funeral of a teenager found hanged near a Mapplewell playing field. Adam Gary Sephton was found dead by a passer-by in a changing shed near the fields off Spark Lane on November 27. He was 18. His mum, Jayne, said he hadn't seemed down but knew he was unhappy about being unable to find a job.
The service at Darton parish church was led by Fr Simon Reynolds, who said his friends and family including Jayne, dad Gary and sister Olivia will miss him terribly. He said: "As our eyes are filled with tears and our minds are filled with questions over Adam's sudden and inexplicable death, we are comforted by his smile and laughter.
Many messages that have been left for him on the internet mention his lovely smile."
