PLENTY of cricketing banter and bets have been exchanged in Aussie-themed bar Walkabout.
With England 1-0 up in the series ahead of this week's third test, Australians working in the pub have been hearing no end of jokes about their country's performance.
Australian Scott Walsh has been working behind the bar for about five months.
He said: "People just keep asking me if I'm following the cricket to get a reaction.
"I have been walking away threatening to charge them double if they carry on. I suppose it is a good dig."
Regular Bernie Markin of Barnsley has bet £20 on each of the five tests with general manager Greg Hardy.
Supervisor James Michaud said the six Australian staff were following the contest closely.
James said: "Bernie is doing very well with the bet. The Ashes have been very popular - people coming in and asking for replays."
