TWO kittens abandoned in freezing temperatures are on the lookout for new homes in time for Christmas.

A black and a tabby kitten were found in Wath and taken to Arncliffe Vets this week. Both are between nine and 12 months old.

The veterinary centre has named the black kitten Berry and the tabby Holly. Berry was found with her leg through her collar with an injury under her armpit and Holly had cat flu.

Veterinary nurse Kath Hawcroft said: “The little black one was like a skeleton when she came in but now she is getting better.

“We think they have either been abandoned because people don’t want them or they have got lost.” For information call 01709 760301.
