BUSINESS advisers in Barnsley say 2010 'wasn't as bad as feared'.
The Enterprising Barnsley partnership, which offers coaching support and subsidised office space, says it helped create more than 300 jobs - more than double its target of 150 for the year.
Spokesman Shaun Higginbottom said: "It has been a tough year for most businesses but we have shown that even in difficult times it is possible for businesses to survive and in some cases even thrive.
"At Enterprising Barnsley we have helped 110 companies grow their workforce and that is no mean feat in these challenging times. But it is something we must continue to do."
