Barnsley bagged a stoppage time goal to earn a point againt Ipswich at Oakwell on Saturday.

In a scrappy match low in quality, the Reds had gone behind to an 82nd minute strike from Ipswich substitute Jason Scotland.

However, in the dying seconds of injury-time, on-loan Jacob Mellis saw his shot from just inside the box turned in by another Ipswich sub, Darren O'Dea.

Both goalkeepers made some fine saves – and Garry O'Connor spurned two decent chances in either half for Barnsley – but the poor Oakwell playing surface meant that the two sides struggled to produce a truly entertaining spectacle.

Reds boss Mark Robins reflected: "We were poor really, lethargic and lacklustre. The pitch didn't help by any means, and I will be having a word with the groundstaff to see if there is anything we can do, but we were not clinical enough in front of goal.

"The only positive was that we kept going and snatched a draw with the late, late goal."
