Two second half strikes from on-loan striker Marlon Harewood helped Barnsley to a 2-1 win over Scunthorpe at Oakwell on Tuesday night.
Harewood was making his third appearance for the Reds since his loan switch from Premier League Blackpool, and he struck in the 63rd and 84th minutes.
The Iron did manage a stoppage time consolation.
Both Nathan Doyle and Paul McShane were excellent for the home outfit.

Barnsley are now 12 points clear of third-from-bottom Scunthorpe, with 10 league matches remaining.
