Landlord Dave Fisher's career has been one long pub crawl but now he's back where he started - at the pub he was born in.

Dave is standing behind the bar of the Commercial Inn on Summer Lane. He's spent the best part of his life running pubs and used to have the George and Dragon on Summer Lane and The Keel, on Canal Street.

He started out life in the pub when mother Kitty gave birth to him in an upstairs room just above where he stands and serves customers now.

"It's just one of those things being born here, it wasn't unusual back then" said Dave." But it was very strange coming back and going upstairs again.

"I've been looking in the old bedrooms and the attic where I used to play as a child. The memories have been flooding back."

The pub was derelict when Dave and partner Lisa Sephton bought it and the couple have overhauled it and changed the layout.
