Donations of toys and equipment have flooded in to a nursery gutted in an arson attack.
A classroom was badly damaged and an equipment shed destroyed in the fire at The Hill, Thurnscoe, on April 5.More than 20 fire-fighters spent hours tackling the blaze that caused smoke and water damage to parts of the school.
But headteacher Sarah Creighton said staff and parents had rallied so the nursery was only closed for a day.
"The response of the community has been absolutely fantastic," she said."Parents have dropped all these toys off without us even having to ask. Their generosity has been tremendous.
"We know times are hard at the moment so we have really worked hard to get it open as soon as we could."
