The driver of a van which was involved in an accident on the Dearne Valley Parkway was kept in hospital overnight.
Police this morning confirmed a Mercedes van was in collision with a parked wagon on the section of dual carriageway between the Cortonwood roundabout and the Hemingfield roundabout.
The collision occurred at about 2.20pm on Tuesday and emergency services were called. A police spokesman said: "One man from Rotherham, in his 50s, was taken to Barnsley Hospital with minor injuries. He was kept in overnight."
The road was blocked for several hours because of the incident and traffic was diverted through Wombwell.
