Wildflowers are being planted in and around Penistone in a bid to reverse falling numbers of honey bees.
Penistone's Friends of the Earth and Oxspring Parish Council have joined forces for the project which will see them plant flowers around the area to encourage pollination.
They have identified several sites in the parish for planting to provide nectar and pollen for insects, particularly honey bees, bumble bees and other wild bees, that are vital in pollinating most fruit and vegetables.
