BARNSLEY runner Joe Ferguson has been selected by Great Britain for the European Team Championships in Madrid on the final weekend of June.
The 25-year-old from Darton, who won a bronze medal with the mixed team at the World Relay Championships in China last month, is a 200m specialist but also competes in the relay events.
Joe said: “It’s nice to get another GB call-up and I hope to become a staple of the relay set-up as well as going after my individual 200m goals.”
Ferguson competed in Finland on Wednesday, running 20.95 over 200m despite very heavy rain.
He hopes to qualify for the World Championships in September in Tokyo.
