THE Wombwell community celebrated ‘Love Where You Live’ week in style with a community litter pick.
Organised by the Wombwell Womblers litter picking group, the event focused on Cemetery Road, Littlefield Lane and Snowden Terrace car park.
Wombwell councillors Brenda Eastwood, Robert Frost and James Higginbottom said: “We were proud to celebrate Love Where You Live in Wombwell and to champion the volunteers and community groups who make up the rich fabric of our area.
“It was especially great to see new volunteers of all ages coming along to make our community a cleaner and greener place for all.
“Big thanks to Andrea Walker and the volunteers at the Womblers for the work they do all year round in Wombwell.”
