A BARNSLEY police officer has been recognised for his work at a reception in Downing Street.
Acting Chief Inspector Richard Mangham was invited to a reception at London this week which was hosted by the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.
Responsible for a neighbourhood policing team in Barnsley, ACI Mangham was nominated and accompanied by Dan Jarvis, MP for Barnsley North.
The reception was held to mark and celebrate the contribution of public sector workers from across the country.
Dan said: “Public sector workers are invaluable to the fabric of this country.
“As a Home Office Minister, I know the dedication of our police officers - including Acting Chief Inspector Richard Mangham whom I am in regular contact with on neighbourhood policing matters in Barnsley North.
“It was good to see this recognition of public sector workers from across the country, and to have someone from Barnsley attend Downing Street and meet the Prime Minister.”
