A music lover proposed to his girlfriend on stage in front of 2,500 people.
Matt Wood, 36, of Bellscroft, Wombwell, asked Karen Hadgraft, 36, during a concert by band Train in Manchester on Sunday.
The insurance manager had fooled her into thinking they were sitting in the stage wings for the concert because he had won a competition.
Half way through the song 'Marry Me', the band stopped playing and the singer announced he wanted 'my friend Matt Wood' to say a few words.
Karen said, 'yes' and afterwards Matt said: "I was really nervous and convinced I would fluff my words but it went well in the end."
The proposal has made its way around the world with people in the crowd uploading videos to YouTube. Harry Styles, of boy band One Direction, tweeted: "I went to see Train last night, sounded great. And two people got engaged on stage...it was emotional."
The day before the concert, Matt spent hours waiting in Birmingham on the chance of coming across the band at the venue they were due to play at to arrange something.
