BARNSLEY band Flytrapp have been in the recording studio to record their debut EP.
The EP will be their first release, and has been produced at DC Studios, on Shambles Street.
Guitarist Gethen Wood said: “It’s really good to be able to hear our music done properly, instead of just hearing it on someone’s phone when they’ve recorded it at one of our gigs.”
Singer Urszula Sobczak added: “It’s a massive improvement really compared to how we do it, there’s such a difference it’s incredible.”
Made up of four teenagers from Barnsley, have played several successful gigs this year - including their biggest one yet at the Glass Works as part of this year’s Barnsley Live.
Fred Mallinson, who plays bass guitar, added: “The Glass Works gig was really interesting, because it was one of our first chances to play in front of a big crowd.
“Just being able to look at the people properly getting into our music was really inspiring.”
There isn’t a set release date for the band’s EP yet, but it will be available on moat streaming platforms, and they’re hoping to produce some CDs as well.
