MONK Bretton under nines won the Barnsley League Cup finals day.

It was the first time the club has won that trophy.

They beat hosts Wombwell Main then Cawthorne and Worsbrough Bridge.

Rohan Vemula took five wickets for one run as Barnsley Woolley under 13s won at home to Worsbrough Bridge in the 11-a-side Cup. After the runs were piled on by Vemula, Alfie Worth, Archie Chapman-Stott and Charlie Worth, Max Gamble struck twice.

Wath under 13s beat Cawthorne with the best scores by Max Hollinworth and Harry Asquith.

Penistone under 13s defeated Darton. Thomas Drye top-scored then Charlie Richards took three wickets.

Elsecar under 13s defeated Rockingham. Toby Miller-Lewis took two wickets then Tom Stump top-scored. Rockingham’s Manvir Kang made their best score before taking three for seven, while Ben Cummins struck twice.

Elsecar under 13s won at Kexborough in the Eight-a-side Cup. George Dyson hit 32 off 15 balls with six fours then Lucca Mallender took two wickets.

Rockingham under 13s beat Higham. Manvir Singh Kang made 34 off 15 balls then Keeva Bell took two wickets. Travis Blavins was Higham’s top-scorer.

Penistone under 13s won at Silkstone United. Oliver Chadburn made Penistone’s best score then there were three wickets each for Harishnu Nanthakumer and Elliot Hinchcliffe.

Thomas Johnson struck twice for Penistone and Seb Horbury for Silkstone.

Barnsley Woolley Miners under 11s beat Monk Bretton.

Charlie Worth smashed 45 not out off 20 balls with six fours and two sixes.

There were two wickets each for Monk Bretton’s Joe Swallow and J Britton.

Darton Bucks under 11s won at Darfield. Samir Narula and Ellis Gough made Darton’s best scores then Noah Saunders took three wickets and Oliver Ruston two.

Penistone under 11s won at Elsecar.

Stanley Foster made Penistone’s best score then Yven Turner struck twice with the ball. There were also two wickets for Elsecar’s Olly Jacobs.

Myla Panton hit 26 off 13 balls in Higham under 11s’ victory against Wombwell Main Blue.

Albie MacFarlane took two wickets for Wombwell as did Higham’s Josh Stafford-Fox and Jacob Winder.

Cawthorne under 11s beat Wath by four runs. Fred Woodward top-scored.

Rockingham under 11s defeated Wombwell Main Orange. Alister Claydon took three wickets then Kobe Sidebottom top-scored for Wombwell.

Rockingham’s Keeva Bell struck twice.

Darfield under 17s beat Penistone.

Fenn Winstanley and Campbell Wroe top-scored then there were three wickets for Ramsay Winfield and Deepak Binoy plus two for Wroe. There were two wickets for Penistone’s Harrison Connolly and Jack Durkan.

Barnsley Woolley Miners under 17s beat Darton. Max Heseltine and Bobby Wright took four wickets.

Zack Scott struck twice.

Wath under 17s defeated Rockingham.

William Dooling top-scored for Rock and Ollie Wainwright for Wath.

There were two wickets for James Wainwright and Kean Hill.

Rockingham under 15s won at Darton. Noah Shore and Harry Swallow made Rock’s best scores then Shore, Ben Cummins and Joseph Drakeford took two wickets.

For Darton, Tom Bedford claimed two wickets then Eli Lofthouse top-scored.

Penistone under 15s beat Higham.

Harrison Connolly struck twice with the ball then Nathesh Nanthakumar made Penistone’s best score. George Ellis starred with the bat for Higham then Zak Jagger took three wickets.
