WORSBROUGH Bridge’s game at Hull United on Saturday was called off on 70 minutes due to a serious injury to their player Josh Brown.
The pitch was extremely sandy in the middle.
Bridge manager Lee Morris said: “I’m sorry to anyone that made the trip.
“My fault. I should have called it off before the game but to drive an hour and half to get to see this.”
Worsbrough then won 1-0 at home to Brighouse Town on Wednesday.
After visiting Penistone Church on Friday, they are due to go to County Senior League neighbours Dodworth MW on Wednesday.
Dearne and District drew 2-2 against a Barnsley XI on Tuesday.
Dearne had drawn 1-1 at home to Rossington Main on Saturday.
They are now due to visit Parkgate on Saturday then host Horbury Town on Monday.
Penistone Church won 5-0 at home to Athersley Rec on Wednesday
Penistone now take on another Barnsley neighbour on Friday evening when they host Worsbrough Bridge.
Church had won 2-1 at Armthorpe on Saturday, while Rec won 3-0 against Brighouse at Dorothy Hyman Sports Centre.
Rec are now due to visit Harworth Colliery on Saturday then host Chesterfield under 23s on Tuesday.
Wombwell Town drew 1-1 at home to Pontefract Collieries on Saturday then won 5-0 over Goole on Tuesday, also at home.
Town now host Worksop on Saturday then Stocksbridge on Tuesday.
The NCEL season begins on July 26.
Wombwell Town and Penistone Church are in the Premier Division while Athersley Rec, Dearne and District and Worsbrough Bridge are all in Division One.
Town won the Division One play-off final last season, beating near neighbours Dearne.
