THREE generations of the same family were successful at an international body building championship last week - something they believe could be a world-first feat.
Kyle Weiss, 37, his son Ethan, 16, and dad Terry, 65, travelled to Italy to take part in the International Body Building and Fitness (IBFA) Mr Universe Championships.
Kyle, from Royston had planned on having a break from this year’s event but after his dad and his son both qualified, he decided to enter as well.
He said: “I thought I’d have a go so all three of us could have a crack at it and we pretty much smashed it.
“My dad won in the over-65s, I won the athletic class and best pose presentation, and Ethan won in the under-21s.”
Kyle has now considered entering the family for a potential Guinness World Record as the first family to have three generations win.
He added: “It would be unbelievable for us, we were in a cafe in Naples, and the bloke there had a world record.
“It reminded me that we should try for one, to see if a family has ever done something this big.”
