DONOVAN Pines has found a new club having been released by Barnsley earlier this summer.

US international Pines signed in January last year and played 31 times for the Reds, scoring five goals.

After an injury cut last season short, he was often second choice to Marc Roberts last campaign and barely featured once Conor Hourihane replaced Darrell Clarke as head coach.

He is a part of the ownership group of DC Power, an American women’s team and it was thought the centre-back would go back to the States.

But it was announced this week that he has signed a one-year contract with Austrian Bundesliga side Grazer AK.

Former Reds winger Dominik Frieser, now 31, will now be his teammate.
