PENISTONE Footpath Runner James Mumford won the last Higham Hurtle of the year in 30-49.

Team-mates George Parr, who was the runner-up, Oliver France, Ian Neville, Matthew Robinson and Damian Kilpin all packed inside the top 12.

Lois Lopez was second woman.

Barnsley AC’s Vicky Shaw was first woman at the Hurtle in 35-11.

Gail Colville finished as second woman, knocking almost two minutes off her course best with a time of 37-06.

Chris McNicholas finished as first over60 man on the night in 35-35 and also finished sixth overall in the series with a combined time of 1-49-06. Mark Wood finished in 37-19. Barnsley Harrier John Hewitt was first over80 man.

Penistone’s Richard Cottam won the latest Oxspring Trunce in 26-12.

Barnsley Harrier Paul Johnson was second while there were PBs for Deborah Wilson and Rachel Gray.

At the Denby Dash, Penistone’s Suzanne McGill was third woman and Lesley Parker fastest over50 women.

Ian Neville took the men’s over60 victory, finishing seventh overall, while George Parr was first under 23 male and ninth overall.

At the five-mile Treeton Bolt off-road race, Philip Morgan ran his first race for Barnsley AC. He finished fifth overall and second over55 man in a time of 31-46. Dave Allemby’s time was 51-57.

In Northern Ireland, Barnsley AC’s Josh Bird and Nathan Doy ran the Antrim Coast Half Marathon. Josh finished in 1-15-36 and Nathan in 1-18-40.

Barnsley AC’s Chris Gillott took more than two seconds off his 800m PB at the BMC regional meeting in Bury with 1-53.99.
