BARNSLEY Tennis Club’s oldest player Sheila Walker has turned 90.
Sheila still plays with the women’s veterans every week.
The club’s vice chair John Gregson said: “It is truly inspiring to think someone can still play tennis in their nineties and age is just a number.”
Sheila’s late husband, Peter, was also a club member for many years.
The club’s over 60s trophy is now called the ‘Peter Walker Trophy’ in his memory.
