BARNSLEY’S branch of Reform UK hosted an event in the town centre on Saturday - and its chairman said it was a massive success.
Representatives form the party were on hand to speak with residents about the party on Queen Street at the weekend.
Chairman Edward Dillingham said their was clear ‘enthusiasm for change’ at the event.
He told the Chronicle: “Our stall in town was a cracking success.
“Locals turned out in droves, and the response was overwhelmingly positive.
“The top gripe was that Labour and the Lib Dems have failed our town.
“For years they’ve neglected their core duties - fixing our roads and repairing potholes, collecting our bins, keeping our streets safe, and caring for the vulnerable.
“Reform UK is the fresh, common-sense alternative that is going to put the Barnsley people first.
“Our vision prioritises safer streets, sensible budgeting, and focusing on core infrastructure that works for everyone.
“The enthusiasm and excitement we saw on Saturday shows that Barnsley is ready for change, and led by Nigel Farage, Reform UK is the party that will deliver it.”
