A HERITAGE trail which tells the stories of two villages has been completed.
The trail - funded by Barnsley Council - was started by the Kexborough Local History Group and then completed by the Darton Local History Group, whose collective members have provided information on the 12 boards which are now in situ.
An event was held at the Rose and Crown in Darton on Saturday to celebrate its completion.
A spokesperson said: “The boards record the history of Kexborough and Darton - both groups have undertaken many hours of painstaking research.
“The information boards are a great way of preserving the local history of the area for future generations.”
